HOW DO YOU MANAGE A MORNING RITUAL?

You may have heard that it is super important for success in your life and business to set yourself up with a morning ritual. That all important set of steps that wakes you, grounds you, gets you in the right frame of mind, intellectually and physically for the day ahead. 

THEN THERE’S THE GUILT……

You may have also heard and read that the ‘type’ of ritual that you establish is all important, crucial in fact, and that the ‘type’ of ritual you decide to establish can either make or break your day. Plus, oh oh, the guilt that you experience when you can't get to that ritual. You may be travelling, unwell, run out of time due to family or other external constraints….that’s when the guilt sets in…

BUT WHAT SORT OF RITUAL IS THE BEST?

It can be really overwhelming to have to choose exactly what sort of ritual that is the best for you to kick start your day. What sort of tools are the best for you? There are experts everywhere. They variously recommend:

 Meditation
Journaling
Running
Breathwork
Exercise class
Total silence
Loud music
Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera….there are so many tools available and everyone’s an expert huh?

IT WAS OVERWHELMING…

I tried everything, I tried combinations of things and found myself becoming more and more frantic about the start up to the day, instead of getting into the right ambience for me to kick start my day.

You see, there is one thing that I know…..we are all different.

What works for me is a complete and utter failure and hopeless for someone else. So, I gave up listening to the experts, the gurus and the fitness freaks….and I asked myself this one question….

ASK YOURSELF THIS ONE QUESTION…

Asking myself one simple question every day, changed everything for me.

Every single morning now, I wake up and I tune into my soul…and I ask myself:

What does my soul need right now?

And that might be anything from sitting in total silence and going within…. to running around, moving my body and putting on loud music….to journaling for five minutes….to meditating for two hours…..it will also encompass what you want to feed your body with, if anything, first thing.

The point is that it is different each and every single day. And, you will have in your tool box, exactly the right ‘stuff’ that your soul will need…instead of having to relentlessly ‘push through those barriers…’ with routines that are foreign-feeling to you.

But, I promise you, that if you ask yourself that one question, then you will start listening to your soul and living in alignment with your soul.

And, in my opinion, that is the most powerful morning ritual that you will ever have.

Make the moment. Create the right ambience…by just getting started. With that one question…..

What does my soul need right now?
